We provide custom processing for deer, beef, pork, and poultry. From basic cuts to specialty items, we’ll walk you through the cut sheet so you get exactly what your family likes to eat.
Deer (Wild Game) Processing
Bring your field-dressed deer and choose how you’d like it processed. We offer a variety of cuts and grind options to fit your family’s needs. Venison is lean, healthy, and a powerful way to support food ministries, shelters, and families facing food insecurity.

We work with farmers and families for custom beef, hog, and poultry processing. We’ll help you build a cut plan that matches your freezer space and your recipes.

Seasonal Note: Beef and pork processing generally pause during peak deer season (November–January) to prioritize deer processing. Please contact us for current scheduling, deposits, and pricing.
Hunters for the Hungry – Tennessee
Paw Paw’s Place is honored to participate in the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Hunters for the Hungry–style program, allowing hunters to donate venison to feed families in need.
Turn Your Harvest Into a Blessing
If you’re a hunter, you can donate all or part of your deer to help provide high-quality protein to local families and ministries. It’s a simple way to give back using something you already love to do.
- Harvest your deer legally and tag it as required by Tennessee law.
- Bring your deer to Paw Paw’s Place and let us know you’d like to donate.
- We process the meat according to program guidelines and it is distributed to families and organizations in need.

How Processing Works
Whether it’s your first time bringing in an animal or your hundredth, we’ll make the process straightforward and clear.
Call & Schedule
Call (615) 762-7486 to discuss the animal you’re bringing, current turnaround times, deposits, and any special requests.
Drop Off & Cut Sheet
Bring your tagged animal during your scheduled time. We’ll walk you through the cut sheet and confirm how you want everything packaged.
Pick Up & Enjoy
Once processing is complete, we’ll call you for pickup. Settle your remaining balance, load your meat, and enjoy quality cuts that fit your family.
Important Notes & Common Questions
Do you require a deposit?
Deposits may be required for beef and hog processing and during busy seasons. Please call for current deposit amounts and policies.
What about field dressing and cleanliness?
To protect all customers, we reserve the right to refuse any animal that is unsanitary, improperly dressed, or poses a food-safety concern. Clean, quickly chilled animals produce the best meat.
Do you process other wild game?
Our primary wild-game focus is deer. Other species may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Call us to ask about your specific needs.
Are you open year-round?
We operate year-round, but our schedule changes seasonally. During peak deer season, we may pause beef and pork to focus on deer. Call for current availability.
